Permanent exhibition

The story of science is the story of us

Every good story begins with the imagination – thinking about what could be.

That’s how scientists start. They ask questions, reassess, investigate. They imagine the world as it could be and discover how to get there.

You can do this too, right?

We want science to inspire you. To encourage you to push your own limits, to surprise, amuse and amaze you, just like the most beautiful tales do.

So come and get to know the incredible discoveries about us and the world around us!

We want you to experience and learn.

You remember most easily what you understand, and you understand best what you experience. That is why VR and AR experiences, robots and artificial intelligence, gaming and interactive exhibits, as well as multimedia content that explain even the most complex scientific phenomena in a simple way, await you in the Palace of Science. Here you can experience firsthand how much fun learning can be. Firsthand, even when it’s robotic!

Our permanent exhibition and over 30 scientific exhibits will guide you through the phenomena of humans and the Earth, introduce you to technological innovations and bring you closer to the secrets of the universe. On this journey of knowledge, you will have special guides – the world’s most famous scientists from this area: Mihajlo Pupin, Milutin Milanković and Nikola Tesla, who have left timeless value to human civilisation. That is why you will learn more about their most important discoveries through various exhibits.

Human

Can a robot learn to play?

How does a rattlesnake see its prey?

Why can emotions be read on my face?

Earth

What would it be like to see a dinosaur with your own eyes?

What makes up rocks, and what makes up the living world?

Why does the wind blow?

Climate change reminds us that it is not enough to just admire the beauty of our planet. To preserve it, we need to know it well! Explore natural phenomena and learn more about the history of life on Earth – you will get answers to numerous questions, as well as the motivation to carefully protect our precious world.

Technology

How can VR change the way we learn?

What are bioprinters?

How are autonomous vehicles changing the future of transportation?

To use technology, it is important to understand it. Learn about the achievements of Serbian science, as well as the research carried out by the scientific centres within the Palace of Science. Enter the VR capsule and feel what it's like to be part of the innovation.

Universe

What would driving on the surface of Mars look like?

What is the secret of the spacesuit?

What do other planets look like?

Ah, the universe. So impressive, and so unknown! Its secrets have tickled the imagination for centuries, but what we know about it is also fascinating. Become a NASA controller for a moment, take a closer look at the spacesuit, then make yourself comfortable in our planetarium and indulge in a visual spectacle that will take you to the far edges of the universe.
