Constellations are patterns that humans have recognized throughout history in the arrangement of stars. Today, we use them as scientific tools to help us navigate the night sky. However, we often forget that even these “official” constellations were born from pure human imagination.
In this creative and educational workshop, children will learn about constellations and observe real star maps. Then, using 3D pens, they will design their own, brand-new constellations. Instead of following predefined shapes, children are free to connect the stars according to their own ideas, creating unique drawings and stories.
Through play and exploration, children develop key STEAM skills: observation, pattern recognition, logical thinking, and the creative connection of ideas.
The workshop encourages children to use their imagination and personal experience in learning, develop the ability to recognize shapes and patterns, and establish a personal and emotional connection with the universe and nature. From now on, they will proudly look for “their” constellation every time they gaze at the night sky.
At the end of the workshop, every child takes home their unique 3D constellation and the story behind it.
The workshop is intended for children aged 6 to 10 and will take place in the Room for Seminars and
Workshops Atom. The number of participants is limited to 15.
