Community Voices, Power of Science: HEROINES

Did you know that citizen science can transform communities from within?

The HEROINES project, winner of a major European award for citizen science research, shows how
community mapping, collective organising and scientific thinking can become powerful tools for the emancipation of women from Roma communities.

Join us at the Palace of Science, where Dr Ivan Đorđević, Dr Marija Đorđević, Dr Milena Jokanović and Svetlana Ilić will share how Roma women, through this project, built networks of solidarity, collected data about their own communities, and co-created solutions with researchers that are changing their everyday lives.

Discover how science can become a tool for empowerment, inclusion and a more just society – and how
each of us can be part of that change.
