Earth in Motion: Geological History and Future

In this inspiring discussion, Prof. Dr. Dragan Milovanović from the Faculty of Mining and Geology will help us uncover when and how planet Earth was formed. We will learn what it is made of, why it has a layered structure, and how continents constantly move, causing volcanoes and earthquakes while also shaping the world as we know it.

What types of rocks and minerals can be found in Serbia and the Balkans? What do they reveal about our planet’s geological past? And finally, from a geological perspective, where will Serbia and the Balkans be in the next several tens of millions of years?

By exploring the geological richness of our region, we will take a step into the fascinating story of Earth’s past, present, and future.

The lecture will be held in the Horizont Hall.
