Expert-guided tour In the Company of Microorganisms

Stručno vođenje U društvu mikroorganizama

What if we told you that you are not alone—even when you think you are?

At this very moment, your body is home to a community of microorganisms more numerous than all the people who have ever lived. This community never rests: it digests, protects, communicates with your brain and shapes you day after day.
Dr Dušan Radojević, Research Associate at the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade, and a member of the Probiotic and Microbiota–Host Interactions Group, will guide you through the My Micro-World exhibition.

As you explore the exhibition alongside a scientist who studies the microscopic worlds of the human body, you will discover how we know that certain parts of the body once thought to be completely sterile are not, why the gut microbiome is now considered one of the body’s most important hidden organs, and how microorganisms communicate with our brain.

Have you ever wondered what the microscopic world that influences our mood, immunity and health looks like? Join us and find out. Admission is free.
