Science Centres LIVE

What happens inside the science centres of the Palace of Science—where ideas become experiments and research leads to real-world solutions?

This August, we are opening the doors of our science centres and inviting you to experience science first-hand. Through conversations with scientists and interactive demonstrations, you will discover what our researchers are working on, how science and technology solve real-world problems, and how their work shapes our everyday lives and our future.

As part of the programme, you will have the opportunity to visit nine science centres, according to the following schedule:

3 August, 4:00–5:00 p.m. – register here

  • Centre for Neuromorphic Photonics
  • Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence
  • Centre for Monitoring and Diagnostics
  • SmartGrid
  • Centre for Robotics

20 August, 4:00–5:00 p.m. – register here

  • Centre for Robotics
  • Centre for Laser Engineering and Holography
  • Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence
  • Centre for Monitoring and Diagnostics
  • SmartGrid

27 August, 4:00–5:00 p.m. – register here

  • Centre for the Information Processing of Intelligent Objects
  • Centre for Neuromorphic Photonics
  • Centre for Multimodal Biomedical Engineering
  • Centre for 3D Sound

This is an opportunity to see where theory takes on practical meaning, meet the people who transform scientific ideas into technological solutions, and ask questions that do not end with an answer from a textbook.

Whatever your age or prior knowledge, join us in exploring the technologies, communications and invisible networks that power the world around us. Perhaps one conversation, experiment or encounter will spark a new interest—or even inspire a future career.

The science centre tour is free with an admission ticket to the Palace of Science exhibitions purchased for one of the listed dates.

Visitors should gather at 4:00 p.m. in the Counter Hall, on the ground floor of the Palace of Science. The one-hour tour will be guided by our science communicators.

Places are limited and registration via the relevant form is required.
