Weekends are for fun with science!
The Science Made Fun workshops are part of the Palace of Science’s regular programme. Every Saturday, we organise educational and creative workshops that introduce children to science in an engaging and interactive way. Through play and hands-on challenges, children get to explore scientific phenomena, develop their creativity, and turn their ideas into real projects they can take home.
The programme features two workshops: Create Your Own Planet! and From Idea to Invention, both designed for children aged 7 to 14.
Make Your Own Planet
At the Make Your Own Planet! workshop, children become young scientists, explorers, and creators of new worlds! They will discover what makes up a planetary world, from its surface and atmosphere to the conditions needed for life to develop.
Together, we’ll explore space, learn the basics of planetary science, and design a planet according to our own rules. Will it be covered in oceans? Have volcanoes, rings, or unusual forms of life? It all depends on your imagination, but also on science!
The Make Your Own Planet! workshop will take place on November 7 and 21 at 12 p.m. and will last 90 minutes.
From Idea to Invention
At the From Idea to Invention workshop, children will discover their inner inventors, explorers, and creative thinkers! Through experiments and hands-on challenges, they will investigate the phenomena around us and discover how these can inspire new inventions.
They will explore invisible forces, motion, light, time, vibrations, and sound, learning how these principles work and how they can be applied. They will also discover examples from the past that show how understanding natural phenomena has helped people solve problems and develop new ideas.
The From Idea to Invention workshop will take place on November 14 and 28 at 12 p.m. and will last 90 minutes.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Palace of Science!
