Science that Listens: the PaSTINCA Project Story

What happens when parents of autistic children join forces with scientists?

One of the answers comes from Dr Smilja Praćer of the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša
Stanković”, who will present the innovative PaSTINCA project – Parents and Scientists Together for
Identifying Nutritional Challenges in Autism, funded through the Horizon Europe programme.

PaSTINCA brings together parents and researchers around a shared goal: to identify the nutritional
challenges faced by autistic children and to develop recommendations that can, in the long run, improve
their health, everyday life and position within the system.

This talk shows how citizen science can change lives, and how such partnerships allow scientific
knowledge to move beyond the laboratory and become a tool for empowering individuals and families.

Join us to hear about the findings the research team has reached so far
