Can we turn mathematics into stories, and explain art through numbers?
As part of May – the Month of Mathematics, Anđelka Simić Milivojević, a mathematician and professor of mathematics and computer science, invites you into a world where abstract mathematical concepts take shape through visualization and creativity.
Drawing from her own experiences, Anđelka will reveal how mathematical ideas can be learned more easily—and more beautifully—when seen through the eyes of an artist. She’ll also share how this creative process has led to the creation of unique and inspiring pieces, such as jewelry inspired by mathematical structures.
This conversation will offer you the chance to explore whether the invisible patterns that shape our world can become visible, tangible—and truly inspiring
The talk will take place in the Reč Hall.
