When Video Games Become Our Allies

When people talk about video games, the conversation often focuses on their negative sides—addiction, violence, or wasting time. But what happens when we shift our attention to the positive aspects and see them as a powerful tool for learning, collaboration, and creativity?

During the guided tour with Gordana Grabež, Program Director at the Palace of Science, you will discover why the curatorial team of the exhibition “More Than a Game” chose not to dwell on stereotypes and criticisms, but instead to show how games can contribute to the development of individuals and society. You’ll encounter examples where video games have sparked scientific research, helped doctors prepare for surgeries, opened new paths in education, and inspired artists, designers, and engineers.

This tour is an opportunity to explore how games are transforming the way we live, learn, and communicate—and why it’s important to view them as a field of innovation and creativity, not just entertainment.
The guided tour will take place in the Guest Exhibition Gallery.
