The Palace of Science – Miodrag Kostić Endowment has received the “Svetislav Milić – From the Heart to Youth” Award in the Institution of the Year category, recognising its contribution to advancing science education, research, and the popularisation of science in Serbia and the region.
The award was presented to the Palace of Science for its “outstanding results in improving science education, research, and the popularisation of science in Serbia and the region”, noting that—through its unique infrastructure, innovative programmes, and dedication to education for all generations—it has become “a centre of inspiration, talent discovery, and the promotion of technological and scientific progress in society”.
This year, the jury granted the Institution of the Year recognition jointly to the Palace of Science in Belgrade and the “Mija Stanimirović” Electrical Engineering School in Niš.
“By granting awards in the institutions category, we aim to send a clear message about how important education, science, and dedication to youth development are for society,” the jury stated, emphasising that the laureates serve as examples of institutions that inspire and open up new opportunities for the generations to come.
The “Svetislav Milić – From the Heart to Youth” Award is presented in cooperation with the humanitarian organisation Find Raul and the Milić family, and the awards were conferred at a ceremonial event at the National Theatre in Niš.
