On the final day of this year’s Kopaonik Business Forum, Nemanja Đorđević, manager of the Miodrag Kostić Endowment, spoke at the panel "Endowments in Serbia", where he highlighted that the Palace of Science—a gift to society worth €25 million—serves as an example of reviving the tradition of endowments in our country.
"Miodrag Kostić’s idea was to create an institution that would not only provide answers to what science and researchers are working on but also explore what the future of science, innovation, and education could be. At the core of the philanthropic initiative behind the establishment of the Miodrag Kostić Endowment lies the desire to enhance the role and contribution of young people in education. The Palace of Science serves as a model and inspiration for others to leave something as a gift to Serbia and Serbian society," said Nemanja Đorđević.
On this occasion, Đorđević emphasized the values that make the Palace of Science a unique institution—not only in Serbia but in the entire region.
"The Palace of Science is not just a space for research and learning; it is a bridge between modern scientific achievements and the broader public. Here, science is not abstract or distant—it is experienced in a unique way and becomes part of everyday life. Through the synergy of top research centers, educational programs, and interactive content, this center inspires all generations to connect with science and contribute to its further development."
The Palace of Science represents the crown jewel of Miodrag Kostić’s decades-long philanthropic efforts. As the founder of MK Group, he will be remembered as one of Serbia’s most successful entrepreneurs.
