From July 7 to 11, 2025, the second international summer school within the Horizon Europe SUNRISE project is being held at the Palace of Science in Belgrade. This multi-day program brings together students, researchers, and professionals from academia and industry with the aim of advancing the integration of renewable energy sources into modern power systems.
This year’s summer school is titled “Enhancing Renewable Energy Integration: From Real-Time Simulations to Real-World Applications”, focusing on bridging theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the fields of smart grids, digital control, and decentralized energy sources. Participants have the opportunity to attend lectures, take part in workshops, and engage in hands-on tasks that provide insights into the latest solutions applied in power systems.
The second SUNRISE summer school fosters collaboration, knowledge exchange, and a multidisciplinary approach to educating a new generation of engineers and researchers in the field of electrical power engineering.
