Award-Winning Student Research Papers

Nagrađeni studentski radovi

What lies behind a research paper? How does the first idea emerge, how does it become a topic, and how much changes before the paper reaches its final form?

At this lecture, students and young researchers will speak about their experience. A group of authors from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, will present their work combining spectral imaging and deep learning for the analysis and assessment of the condition of works of art, at the intersection of science, technology and cultural heritage. This paper received the Best Paper Award at the international IcETRAN conference.
Nemanja Pavlović received the award for the best master’s thesis for his paper titled “The Natural Environment in the Early Neolithic of Pelagonia — an Archaeobotanical Perspective”, recognised as “original scientific research containing interesting and unique answers”.
The lecture will address results and methods, but also the research process itself — how a topic is chosen, what happens when things do not go according to plan, and what that journey looks like first-hand. The idea of the lecture is for recognised young researchers to share their experience with other students and young researchers, especially those who are only beginning to think about their own research path or want to see what that path looks like in practice.
Admission to the lecture is free, and registration is not required.
