Does art begin with an idea, or with a gesture? What if the first step isn’t inspiration, but doubt?
In this panel, we step into the very process of creating an artwork: from a moment of not knowing, through hypothesis, to form. Three artists start from the same point of departure, yet arrive at entirely different worlds—revealing what research looks like in art, what it means to “test an idea” without a laboratory, and why artists and scientists are closer than we might think. This is not a conversation about finished works, but about what comes before them.
