How the city becomes smart

Kako gradovi postaju pametni

Currently, 50% of people live in urban areas, which cover 2% of the world’s land area. By 2050, cities are expected to be home to 70% of the world’s population, cover 2% of the world’s land area, and cities will emit 80% of the world’s total CO₂ and 75% of the world’s total energy consumption. As a result, cities are facing unprecedented challenges in the context of social and climate change. Can cities respond to these challenges and how?

Prof. Dr. Drajić will take us through the concept of smart cities that measure, manage and learn. Based on the knowledge and experience from the projects in which Prof. Dr. Drajić participated, you will learn what it means to have smart measuring instruments, infrastructure sensors and network connectivity, as well as how huge amounts of data are collected, analyzed and used for decision-making.

Join us to explore how technology can make our cities more sustainable, safer, and more comfortable places to live.
