LEGO coordinate system in motion (ages 5-12)

LEGO Koordinatni-sistem

How do robots know where they are – and how do they find the right way?

Through this workshop, children explore the basic principles of mathematics and robotics, getting acquainted with the coordinate system through practical work. They construct robots that move along a given grid (X and Y axis), developing an understanding of positioning, direction and precise movement.

Inspired by the celebration of May Mathematics Month, this workshop shows that the coordinate system is not just a part of schoolwork, but a universal language that helps robots navigate the world – just like humans.

Through experimentation and programming, participants develop logical thinking, spatial orientation, and an understanding of how abstract mathematical concepts are transformed into concrete robot movements. Each task becomes a small challenge in which the robot needs to find the right path – and children become its programmers and guides.

The workshop will take place in the Atom hall and is limited to a maximum of 20 participants.
