LEGO Counting Robot (ages 5-12)

DIC_LEGO Robot Koji Broji

In this workshop, children construct robots using LEGO bricks and sensors that allow them to recognize and count objects from the environment. Through programming on tablets, they learn how to use variables so that the robot “remembers” each counted element and performs the task precisely.

Inspired by the celebration of May Mathematics Month, this workshop reveals how mathematics is not just a series of numbers on paper, but a universal language used by both humans and machines. Through play and experimentation, participants will see how basic mathematical concepts are translated into concrete actions of robots.

Through practical work, logical thinking, precision and an understanding of how simple ideas – such as counting – are transformed into complex technological processes are developed.

The workshop will be held in the Atom Hall and is designed for a maximum of 20 participants.
