What happens when we think nothing is happening?
For one night, the Palace of Science becomes the secret headquarters for the strangest quest you have ever embarked on: a search for those who are everywhere, yet always go unnoticed.
Working in teams, the Micro-Hunters will use games, riddles and the occasional smell—one you may remember longer than you would like—to track down the invisible inhabitants of the world around us.
You will meet microorganisms that do jobs you never even knew existed—like making cheese while you sleep.
You will meet the companions living on your skin that protect you from less friendly neighbours, as well as the microbes in your gut that may influence your mood more than you think. Some are heroes. Some are tiny tricksters. But they all have a story to tell.
When the night’s hunt is over, the Micro-Hunters will settle down for the night at a camp set up in the Horizont Hall, right in the heart of the Palace. In the morning, after breakfast, each Micro-Hunter will receive an official certificate confirming that they have successfully completed the hunt—proof that they have seen what others cannot and learned something most adults never have.
For parents: The programme is designed for children aged 8–12 and led by the Palace of Science’s expert team. Children are supervised throughout the night, including while they sleep in the Horizont Hall. The fee is RSD 8,000 and includes a snack, dinner and breakfast. Families registering two or more children receive a 10% discount. Places are limited to 20 participants.
