In the authentic space of the Banking Hall of the Miodrag Kostić Endowment - Palace of Science, on Thursday, April 2nd, the cycle of art exhibitions entitled "Hypothesis" was ceremonially opened. The first in the series, the exhibition "Null Hypothesis", presents works by three prominent contemporary artists – Ivan Šuletić, Marko Marković and Nemanja Nikolić, who through their practices examine the categories of painting, sculpture and landscape.
The exhibition "Null Hypothesis" starts from the assumption that there is no connection between science and art, which the artists seek to disprove through their work. Ivan Šuletić examines how technology shapes our perception of the world. Marko Marković treats sculpture as an open system that can be taken apart and reconnected. Nemanja Nikolić, in dialogue with Malevich's "Black Square", transforms landscape into abstraction.
The exhibition "Null Hypothesis" and a series of accompanying programs to be realized during the course of the exhibition aim to create a unique space for encounter and reflection on the intersection of science and artistic practices. Until April 24th, visit the exhibition as well as the accompanying programs, through which artists, professors and experts from various fields will give us the opportunity to re-examine the presence and complexity of the connections between art and science.
